The Kiss of Missing Love and The Love for Missing Kiss

Deepak is spending a lazy Saturday morning, with his late coffee and newspaper. From front page to last including sports is more to do with politics, power, publicity and posters, than the real news. For those who are not interested in this, news paper reading has become a ritual. The shameless sensationalization of  every incidents tragic, comic or trivial has made it a monotonous affair.  He is almost back to sleep. A loud scream put an end to his thoughts and half sleep. It is from his 7 year old daughter Diya. Screams and shouts has become a routine stuff at home.  Result of unsophisticated parenting that both Deepak and his wife Dimple blame each other. "Can you please have a look at what are the kids up to?" shouted Dimple from the kitchen. "Ah not again!" he gulped the words as  aroma of brown bread and sprouts made him more sleepy. .  She must be busy preparing the healthy-organic breakfast. So it is better to just follow. ...

Modification or momentary glorification? We are watching...

India's biggest and most expensive reality show is over. And it is time to deal with the realities. One of those is that we have appointed Mr Narendra Modi to lead our country for the next five years. I have to confess that I am not a big fan of Modi or any of our politicians. But I am very much impressed with the emphatic win that he had. The most impressive element is that it was meticulously planned and executed with utmost precision.  Congratulations Modi & team! Like most of the fellow countrymen, I haven't paid much attention to any of the claims and promises made by any of politicians or parties. Neither have I gone through the non-stop blabbering, except keeping track of the headlines. And, this time I did not have preference for any party/person to lead our country. Having said that, I feel happy about the elections results for multiple reasons. 1. We do not have to face another (hope so) election for next five years. After all, the white money spent ...

ThiszAAP : A sneak peek at the latest App on Indiroid(Indian politics) OS

System Analysis Post-Independence, Indians has been ruled/opposed by thousands of political parties who just cares about nothing but the next election. Now, we see that there is another one created. The good thing about the new one is that the involvement from people who are not a part of mainstream politics or the ones who hasn't taken politics as their livelihood. I am also glad to see that they are successful in shaking up the existing political system in the country. They have made the politicians think about their survival which is always based on money, muscle, nonsense outbursts, instigating and cashing in on religious/social sentiments. The change looks to be good. At the same time, there are apprehensions about the sustainability of this enthusiasm. When the want for power tops the agenda, the transformation to one among others is so easy. The most important thing that needs to be done in our country is to empower people. Make them confident and secure enough t...

The soldiers cleared the way for the royal couple. Suddenly a kid sneaked through the barricade and ran towards the Queen, holding a piece of paper in his hand. The soldiers stopped and pulled him back.  "Leave him" ordered the Queen. The little boy reached near her gave her the paper he was holding. She was surprised to see a picture of her neatly drawn on the paper. She held his hand and kissed on his forehead. The boy was not even born when she left the kingdom. She thou...

The Reddish Greens

As kids, have you played with small 'pit traps'? It definitely require some skill to dig a pit and camouflage it with dried leaves, grass and sand to make it looks like normal surface. The consequences are quite clear.   While growing up, the same game takes different shapes and colours. The principle remains the same. Camouflaging the reality with things we would like others to see. The Reddish Greens. The sun has just begun to cast the lovely red rays over the small village. The village market is slowly getting busier. A gentle breeze just danced around with a very sweet smell. "Ah! And this is the way they return it" said the florist.   He lived in the village with his lovely wife and kids. They worked hard in the small field which was converted to a garden. His small garden was full of flowers mainly red roses and j...

The Eternal Performance Review - Chapter I

Chapter I Induction Ashok could not understand what has pierced his toes and entered his body. It was like an electric charge slowly but steadily moving from toes upward his body. He made a futile attempt to make some noise. Once the charge crossed a part of his body, it did not belong to him anymore. He was slowly losing the possession of his organs one by one. The last thing he felt was the electric charge entering his heart. He could still see the light in the room which made way to darkness soon. The electric charge came out of his head and formed into a big globe of white light. Then it got extended to a big stream of light which looked like a tunnel. He heard a voice. Welcome Ashok!! You have reached the entrance of the eternal world. I am the logistics manager, please follow me. Eternal world?? Ashok muttered.. Am I dead?? Yes my dear..For the last time in your life!! "What do you mean...the last time? You mean that I dead many times in life??" "N...
