ThiszAAP : A sneak peek at the latest App on Indiroid(Indian politics) OS

System Analysis Post-Independence, Indians has been ruled/opposed by thousands of political parties who just cares about nothing but the next election. Now, we see that there is another one created. The good thing about the new one is that the involvement from people who are not a part of mainstream politics or the ones who hasn't taken politics as their livelihood. I am also glad to see that they are successful in shaking up the existing political system in the country. They have made the politicians think about their survival which is always based on money, muscle, nonsense outbursts, instigating and cashing in on religious/social sentiments. The change looks to be good. At the same time, there are apprehensions about the sustainability of this enthusiasm. When the want for power tops the agenda, the transformation to one among others is so easy. The most important thing that needs to be done in our country is to empower people. Make them confident and secure enough t...

The grey shades of light - Diwali thoughts

Scene 1 The Sun had vanished hours back but darkness is not successful yet to cast over the Kingdom. Their King and Queen are returning home after long 14 years. The entire kingdom is illuminated with lamps of different shapes, sizes and colours. The Royal couple walked in front of the procession. The entire city flocked on the street to have a glimpse at them. Tears of happiness rolled out while shouting "long live King an Queen". Singing and dancing they showered flowers all over. The soldiers cleared the way for the royal couple. Suddenly a kid sneaked through the barricade and ran towards the Queen, holding a piece of paper in his hand. The soldiers stopped and pulled him back.  "Leave him" ordered the Queen. The little boy reached near her gave her the paper he was holding. She was surprised to see a picture of her neatly drawn on the paper. She held his hand and kissed on his forehead. The boy was not even born when she left the kingdom. She thou...

The Reddish Greens

As kids, have you played with small 'pit traps'? It definitely require some skill to dig a pit and camouflage it with dried leaves, grass and sand to make it looks like normal surface. The consequences are quite clear.   While growing up, the same game takes different shapes and colours. The principle remains the same. Camouflaging the reality with things we would like others to see. The Reddish Greens. The sun has just begun to cast the lovely red rays over the small village. The village market is slowly getting busier. A gentle breeze just danced around with a very sweet smell. "Ah! Here comes the florist!".   "Looks like your roses smell sweeter day by day"   "I give them my love and affection. And this is the way they return it" said the florist.   He lived in the village with his lovely wife and kids. They worked hard in the small field which was converted to a garden. His small garden was full of flowers mainly red roses and j...

The Eternal Performance Review - Chapter II

Chapter II The Review and Result Ashok looked at the vast number of occupants in the room and was curious about when would his turn come. "Son..." He woke up by the call. Not sure where did come from and how did he hear that. "Yes Master.." The response also came out without his knowledge. "Master .. I thought I will be last in the queue and can get some inputs from people who went first." He smiled. "No.. son. Don’t forget that I can do real multitasking." "OK Let us start. Based on your performance, this is what we can offer you though your only option is to accept. But let me know if you need explanations" The Master continued... “You will be confined to a room. You will see darkness during day time and light at night. The darkness during day will blind you from the beautiful environment outside. The light at night will blind you from the beauty of night. Anyways you never cared for it while on earth. You will ...

The Eternal Performance Review - Chapter I

Chapter I Induction Ashok could not understand what has pierced his toes and entered his body. It was like an electric charge slowly but steadily moving from toes upward his body. He made a futile attempt to make some noise. Once the charge crossed a part of his body, it did not belong to him anymore. He was slowly losing the possession of his organs one by one. The last thing he felt was the electric charge entering his heart. He could still see the light in the room which made way to darkness soon. The electric charge came out of his head and formed into a big globe of white light. Then it got extended to a big stream of light which looked like a tunnel. He heard a voice. Welcome Ashok!! You have reached the entrance of the eternal world. I am the logistics manager, please follow me. Eternal world?? Ashok muttered.. Am I dead?? Yes my dear..For the last time in your life!! "What do you mean...the last time? You mean that I dead many times in life??" "N...

Open Communication : Let it start at home and with kids

Sounds like a project management funda. Huh?? May be some other time. Watched the second episode of SatyamevaJayathe. The show was discussing about child sexual abuse. I am not trying to rate the show or Amir Khan as an anchor. I don't wish to comment on the genuinity of the testimonials either. As most of us know, there is big surrealism attached to TV shows, irrespective of reality or non-reality shows. So I give them the discount of marketing attempts to keep the shows running. As a common Indian man, the show made me think about the some real issues and the purposeful ignorance of our society. We normally shy away and are not comfortable discussing certain topics in public. But the fact is that many people take it as an advantage and they are big invisible threats to our society. Crimes gets acceptance while talking about it is treated as vulgar. We are comfortable closing our eyes and say that it is dark. But preserve your mental numbness, when you open your eyes to f...

Is it difficult to throw it in the bin....

No .. I don’t intend to be philosophical. It was message that I read around the lake nearby  my office, where many other companies are located. And the message was about the plastic cups that are thrown on the bank of the lakes through the wired fencing it has. There was also a message that they have cleared 8000+ plastic cups from there. Of course, the lake donned a new cleaner look. The pavements looked decent with more dust bins. The more important thing in the message I noticed is that, nobody is claiming credit for it….Either organizations, or individuals. It reminded me of a narrow road that I take to office.  In a stretch of 200 metres, there are at least 3 banners which say, "Road asphalting work inaugurated by ...." some names with photographs. I believe these people are the ones we elected and pay from our pocket. They take huge bribes and put their poster at our expense. Ok coming back to the cups, these cups are thrown by educated young people who ...
