The Palatial Gods
The great RabindraNath Tagore wrote :-
He is there where the tiller is tilling the hard ground
and where the pathmaker is breaking stones.
He is with them in sun and in shower,
and his garment is covered with dust.
Put off thy holy mantle and even like him come down on the dusty soil!
Here is the response of the new Gods:-
O dear Gurudev,
We do not agree with this.
We are the new Gods,
With millions of devotees around the world
We live in palaces which they call ashrams
We travel in chartered flight
We sit on big thrones
With people at our feet
The ones, who control nations, stoop before us.
The real blessed ones wait for our blessings
The ones who are pasted on to the chairs of power, kneels before us
And the for those who questions are impressed with our charity
All of us have some master pieces
Some produce gold, some are magicians and many are yoga experts
Some has magical hugs many are great healers
Some preaches sex and some practices it on followers
People travel so far to reach us
They dare the Sun and rain to see us
They sing, dance and do whatever we say
They fight for us and spread our names
Those who have never cleaned their houses
Wait in queue to clean our palace drainages
All in the name to attain eternal bliss
To run away from their responsibilities
But Guruji, don’t think it is so easy
The competition is very high.
And once when hobby turns to profession
We don’t have choices but to be managed
And Gurudev's response to this would be-
Let their (followers) belief save you!!
